About Exif ReName 0.1.14 For PC

Exif ReName, a tool that renames photos according to the date they were taken as indicated by EXIF metadata, is free.

The program's most basic features are very simple to use. Select your JPEGs and Canon RAW CCR2s, then click the Open button. Click on Go. By default Exif ReName accesses each file in turn, looks for EXIF data recording the date and time of the picture, and renames the file accordingly (MyPic.jpg > 2012-09-27_16_52_12.jpg).

You don't get what you need? There's an option to preserve the original file name, either before (MyPic_2012-09-27_16_52_12.jpg) or after (2012-09-27_16_52_12_MyPic.jpg) the date and time.

It is possible to enter a different name and continue using it the same way. A randomly named set of holiday photos, for instance, could all be renamed to the location and their date/ time (California_2013-07-21....jpg).

You can modify the file name pattern to your satisfaction by changing the separators or using lower/upper save extensions.

You can create folders that are based on EXIF date and then sort your files according to these dates. The folders you'll see are named 2013-04-17 and contain all images that were taken at that time.

Exif Rename works by default on original files. It can rename them or move them to other folders. If the settings don't work as expected, you can use the Copy option to copy them to the specified location.

Although the interface can be a bit confusing at times, you will quickly get used to it. Overall, Exif ReName makes it easy to batch-rename digital photos.
