The free-to-use FreeSizer tool allows you to quickly reduce the quality (or resize) multiple JPEG files.
Drag and drop the photos you like onto the program. Choose a profile that matches your plans (email, iPhone uploads, sharing on social networks, etc.), and click "Start Resizing". FreeSizer will take care of everything else.
The default setting is to adjust the quality and resolution to match the profiles you have selected. This saves the files in the same folder that the original images. Doesn't suit your needs? You can save the images wherever you want using the Settings dialog. You can also create a Custom profile that has your desired resolution and JPEG quality setting.
You can save a lot of time with FreeSizer, however, if you are using it often, you might find (a commercial program from the same developers), even more helpful. It detects when images are being sent via email and uploads them to the internet. Then it resizes them automatically, so there is nothing you need to do. You can get a 30 day trial of the program for only $24.95.
